  1. Reset button

    I have totally messed up my settings and can’t get back to normal. There should be a reset settings button that I can push to start over. I’m a novice and have no idea what I’ve done but I’ve basically rendered the app a useless waste of time

  2. Easy normalisation for light

    In the pre- update version I seemed to always get a nice constant light, even if clouds came over. Now when it gets cloudy the picture gets very very dark.
    Can you give an option or suggestion how to counter this or have some setting to keep a “dumbed down” version for those of us who don’t want to tweak ever setting to get a nice result.
    The thing I loved about your app was how simple it wS to use. Now it seems more complicated and difficult to get a good result for the novice.
    Maybe some better instruction…

    It would be nice if I could share captured videos to social media sites directly from Lightspeed.

  4. Add ability if possible to produce time lapsed snapshots.

    I want to produce time lapsed photographs showing star trails on a snapshot. A regular picture that can be saved, printed, emailed or posted on Facebook. Producing pictures that can be compared against each other like target in motion verses camera in motion.

  6. More info on the initial tour screen

    The initial tour/help screen is helpful but could do a better job at explaining the functions of all the buttons and how to use them. There is a bit of a learning curve with this app, and a better help screen could help greatly. I love the forum and feedback mediums though!

  7. Make the rotary shutter wheel more subtle

    Currently the wheel in the bottom right is very large and distracting. Maybe using a slightly different design that is more subtle and Doesn't have as large movements would be a good feature.

  8. More blending modes, like lighten for light trails/streaking lights.

    I bought this app for night time light trails/ streaking lights. This is almost there but moving object fade to average instead of streak because it blends dark and light (like the normal blending mode in image editors) instead of being additive like a film camera.

    I think ideally you would add all the frames in a HDR 32-bit float image, then adjust the exposure down, or something, but I'm not sure that's practical.

    "Lighten only" (see "blend modes" on Wikipedia) should work fast and decently for night time headlight and tail light streaking.

    "Darken only" would interesting for streaking…

  9. Use videos from camera roll as input

    This would allow for a non-destructive workflow and controlled experimentation of settings. Also, you could reprocess a video for even longer 360 exposures.

    It would be great if there was an option to show the time and date on each frame so you could stop during playback and see the time.

  11. Windowing

    Currently, if I take a frame every two seconds, and I use 360 degrees, that means I have sixty frames weighted equally.

    Having a number if functions (in the mathematical sense) would really increase the power of the app.

    For instance imagine I'm compositing 30 frames. It would be really great if we could some how weight frame 15 higher than all the other frames. This way, you retain a sense of all the information you got while shooting the frame, but you also have a high contrast image involved without any blur to add definition.

    Similarly, a Gaussian function…

  12. HDR

    Since you're averaging numerous frames of video, you have very high dynamic range. Currently all you're doing is darkening each frame and adding it to the frame in memory. Why not set a max and min dynamic value as a percentage of the entire dynamic range of the composite?

    For instance, say you're compositing ten video frames for each time lapse frame. And each incoming video frame has a dynamic range of 10. That means the dynamic range of the composite could be 0-99. Then all we would have to do is say "black is 10% of the dynamic range…

  13. Add control for playback FPS

    Currently the app only writes movies that playback at 24 frames per second. It would be nice if you could control the playback speed when recording.
